PS Vita

As history shows, with time comes innovation, integration and evolution. This has been definitely the case with gaming throughout time. Here are some of the innovations we have seen over time...

 Arcade System
Way before the era of the home gaming system there was the Arcade System. This is when gaming was all for the fun of it and it cost a lot, so you could only play your favourite title once a week if you were lucky. The Arcade Machine was a gaming system that promoted human interaction because everyone would watch whilst you play and they wait for their turn....

GameBoy

Magnavox released the first home video game console which could be connected to a TV set— the Magnavox Odyssey. The Odyssey was initially only moderately successful, and it was not until Atari's arcade game Pong popularized video games, that the public began to take more notice of the emerging industry...

PSOne

Then came Sony with their PlayStation or  PSOne system. this largely outclassed the Mega Drive. The graphics, sound quality and performance far surpassed anything we had ever seen before. The PlayStation fixed most of the problems that plagued the Mega Drive. The inability to save, the immense power consumption and the fact that move TV sets would die after long periods, to mention a few. the eraa of the cartridge was over and all your titles now came in the form of a disc...

Xbox
. Now the real competition had started, a fierce rivalry had been born. Both systems performed impressively and the repertoire of games on both was immense.this is what brewed the Halo Vs. God of War battle, each game available on one console but not the other. Xbox also brought about on-line gaming with Xbox live...

Nintendo Wii

Nintendo having been quiet for sometime, came back and gave us the Nintendo Wii. This was however met with mixed emotions as most gamers did not like the selection of games on this particular console...

PlayStation 3

Xbox 360

And even now this battle rages on. As to not to be undone, Microsoft  released the Xbox 360. Sony returned again with the PlayStation 3. Both machines boast HD graphics, impressive sound quality, on-line capability. This is when Sony launched PlayStation Network, aptly titled PSN. Now the on-line battle was under way and this one is still raging on...

Now Sony wishes to go even further as they have announced the PlayStation 4, the next generation. Now we wait upon Microsoft, but the way things look it seems like Sony are going in for the kill...
